If I had to list things I can't live without, the white t-shirt would be at the top of my list.
When Marlon Brando wore it in the 1954 movie On the Waterfront and a year later, James Dean wore it in Rebel Without a Cause, the humble white t-shirt was elevated to cult status. Fast forward to the 1996 Oscars when Sharon Stone wears a simple Gap t-shirt (ok is was black) with her gown creating an instant icon.
The t-shirt is classic, chic, sophisticated, versatile and a great layering piece. The debate continues who makes the best one and everyone has their favourite. When you find the one you love, make sure you buy a few!
