While renovating our home in Sydney, I was mindful to create some spaces just for my husband - even though we pretty much agree on decor, I wanted him to have his "boy" spaces. One of them is our library/office/study with a particularly masculine look and feel, the other is a bar. Not a big gaudy 1970's style bar, but a tasteful and discreet nook. A corner where his interest and taste for fine spirits can be indulged and on display. I like the colours and the shapes of the various bottles, the accoutrements, that he has collected them from around the world and the fact that the indoor bar has now been elevated to "haute indoor couture" status.
