Natalie Messenet.........

The September issue of Architectural Digest features some really beautiful homes, mostly of designers.  This one is Natalie Messenet's, the former LA based editor of Women's Wear Daily and W and the entrepreneur of the very successful Net-a-Porter.

When in 2010, Natalie sold a majority share of the company to Swiss luxury group Richemont, she immediately went out and bought an 1880s mansion in South Kensington, London that she had been "eying" for some time.  Natalie remains executive chairman of Net-a-Porter.

She enlisted the help of her long time friend and interior designer, Michael S. Smith to, as he says, "give her the house for where she was going."  Fortunately, the interior had already been extensively renovated and the only signficant change that was made was to move the kitchen to a different floor - overlooking the rear garden.
