Peter Marino...........

Peter Marino

Peter Marino has been called a 'renegade' and a 'starchitect' and has been described as a cross between Mad Max and the Village People.  Whatever you may think about his appearance he is the architect for high end fashion brands - Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Fendi and has designed flagship stores for these brands around the globe that has redefined the luxury shopping experience.

In Melbourne, his design for the new Chanel store is based on Chanel's original boutique and apartment on Rue Cambon in Paris.  In another Chanel store he commissioned a giant necklace made of glass sculptures and in another, a giant 'pearl' necklace.

He founded his firm in NYC in 1978 and his first commissions were to design the interior of Andy Warhol's home and the interior of Pierre Berge and Yves St. Laurent's NYC apartment.  Peter is consistently named in Architectural Digest's Top 100 Architects.
