Yes, yes, yes, I miss Autumn in Boston. I miss walking down the wide, tree-lined pavement of Commonwealth Avenue, where I once lived. I miss walking along the Charles River. I miss walking through the Boston Commons and Public Gardens, all covered in the beautiful tones of Autumn. One of my consolations, however, for missing my favourite season, is the annual blossoming of the Jacaranda trees which signal the beginning of Spring in Sydney. The colour is so vibrant, rich and purple and when the blossoms fall to the ground they make a beautiful floral carpet.......

The sofest mauve carpet
That ever was spread,
The deepest mauve canopy
Over my head
A haze in the warm air
Of loveliest hue
That seems to envelop
The garden and you. - "Jacaranda" by A.S.H.
Cheers
