Patrick Blanc.............
Patrick Blanc is a French botanist and the inventor of the vertical garden or 'living wall.' He installs his vertical gardens on walls of luxury hotels, apartment buildings, museums, airports and on fashion runways around the world. He specializes in installing plants from tropical forests and uses an integrated water delivery system to sustain the garden. In addition to being extremely beautiful, these vertical gardens are very good for the environment, they improve air quality, they create a natural noise barrier and they keep buildings cool in Summer and insulated in Winter.
Patrick's largest (tallest) project to date is a vertical garden installed on an apartment building in Sydney, Australia at One Central Park - very close to where I live, lucky me..........
